Event Details

Discover the diverse cultures and cuisines Boston-area restaurants have to offer at Cultural Café, hosted by Hostelling International USA.  The first Tuesday of every month, enjoy a meal with members of the community, learn about a new culture and help support Cultural Kitchen, HI-USA’s premiere educational program for inner city youth.

Estragon Tapas Bar in the South End is our first stop for 2010, for February 2nd.  The food at Estragon will recreate a slice of sunny Madrid - perfect to warm up a cold Boston evening.  The staff will also demonstrate Spanish culture as part of the fun.

Please RSVP by January 27th for this affordable and fun event.  Please e-mail Karin at kturer@usahostels.org if you are a vegetarian or have other dietary questions or needs.  You may also sign up directly with Karin by calling her at 617-718-7990 ext 23.

***more about Cultural Kitchen and Cultural Café***

As an afterschool activity, Cultural Kitchen teaches Boston and Somerville youth about culture and diversity using cooking as the primary vehicle - just like travelers at our hostels learn about one another while cooking together in the hostel kitchen.

Cultural Café gives us a chance to experience something similar to what the students experience in our program.  The setting is informal as we gather to build community, share a delicious meal, learn a bit about Spanish culture, and support a great cause.
